Three years ago almost to the day I flew into a bitterly cold DC from Manila for the second round of (in-person) interviews at the esteemed institution where I work.

Over that weekend my eldest and middle daughters and I went for a wander around the monuments and ended up at Tonic @ Quigley's Pharmacy, a local watering hole, where we ordered up the three main food groups - beer, parfait and tater tots.

Today it's 60 degrees, we have been back in DC for over 2 years - and I'm pleased to see that Quigley's menu is still going strong.
