Mearnskirk Hospital

Over west this afternoon visiting my dad who has been moved from the ginormous Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow to the very much preferred Mearnskirk Hospital in Newton Mearns. The hospital only has 72 beds in 2 wards, and it is very friendly and homely and dad is very much more relaxed there. It is also 5 minutes up the road from my mum instead of a 40 minute taxi trip down the motorway.

It is my brother's birthday today, so we had some cake up at the hospital.

The statue you can see in this blip is of Peter Pan, which was erected in 1949 when the original Mearnskirk was a children's TB hospital.

I hope you have had a good Thursday.
