Watching me

The brown thrashers are back and I think this momma was getting her nest up to date for new babies.  I can see them from just outside the back door but can't get a photo with the tripod unless I move to the porch a little.  She stayed there this morning for about 5 minutes while I was trying to get a better angle.  Then the dog scratched on the screen door!    I need to see if there are eggs but she did not appear to be nesting.

I think I will cut away just a few branches near the porch railings to make a better opening.   

 There might be another pair nesting in the front yard in the biggest azalea bush.  Investigating that one soon.
