Abstract Thursday-Celebrating January

Janus  is the god of beginnings, gates, transitions, time, doorways, passages, and endings. He is usually depicted as having two faces, since he looks to the future and to the past.


I've always thought that January was named for the god Janus....it makes sense...but like everything else I think I know, it may not be true!


This is my abstract squirrel looking both ways, and celebrating January no matter who it was named after.
