Winter wonderland - Finse, Norway

Finse is a fascination place in Norway.  The only way to reach this little place is by railway. Finse station is on the Bergen line, the highest mainline railway in Northern Europe. Finse is the highest point (1,222 metres or 4,002 ft).

This is a Finse cabin (hostel), 300 metres from the station. It's also a hotel here. When I see the cabin like this it reminds me about a novel Finse 1222 by Anne Holt.  After a dramatic train derailment a small group of people get stuck in the hotel under a terrible hurricane. Conflicts escalate, and the food is not enough for all, and one after the other get killed. But who is the murder? And what is the motive. The doors and windows are covered by snow, so they can't escape...

But today it was a sunny day as you can see, the train was on track and on time and not even a fly died :-)
