Our Nurse at the Centre for Learning

This is a new addition to our Saturday staff at the Centre for Learning.

She is a qualified nurse with years of experience working for the health service.

She was selected by the Ministry to do a course in Counselling in the St John of God College of Health Sciences.

She finished work, left her husband and family to come to Mzuzu, only to find that there was no funding. Money seems to get lost, regularly here, so its not new or surprising.

She found herself without accommodation, so she says in our Hostel in Chimiliro, (with Cecilia, the student nurse we support as well as two other student nurse friends without money for accommodation)  and in return will work with our girls on a complete range of health topics and issues.

The picture is taken in our vehicle garage. The wood is drying for cooking!!
We are not too worried about neat and tidy!!
