The Brinton Medal 1929

A bit of an emergency blip today as by the time i went out for a walk, it had started to rain and nothing inspired me. I had been meaning to blip this for a while as it is the medal my Dad was awarded from King Charles 1 Grammar School, Kidderminster in the 1920s. I am very proud that he won this, as did his brothe,r for having the highest marks in all subjects in the School Certificate exam - he really was exceptional, being a complete all rounder as well as being artistic and practical- always able to mend anything mechanical yet an encyclopaedic knowledge of facts, proficient in Latin and French. Sadly, he did not go to university as his family could not afford it but until he died it was always 'ask Dad' about anything and Dad would know!!
Expensive day car wise as it is in garage for cam belt, water pump, mending rear parking sensors and two new tyres !!!
