Goodbye Brian

Drove through beautiful Ashdown Forest in Sussex today on a sad trip to say goodbye to an old chum and much-respected colleague. He was a hugely talented journalist and author, and was also a Le Mans expert over several decades, who covered the famous French motor race every year for the Daily Telegraph.
The church was packed to overflowing for Brian's funeral, and we celebrated his life st a wake afterwards at his favourite local pub. It was such a crush of people that the clearest view was upwards, where locals' favourite tankards are kept.
