Dunsinane

Correct pronunciation ; Dunsinnan (emphasis on second syllable) or Hill of the Ants.
It's the middle hill in the photo, with the ramparts and earthworks visible. From the air it's much more impressive and obvious as an ancient, heavily fortified site. Standing on it, it does have an aura of power that doesn't come across in this photo. Not the highest hill, but it is strategic.
From the top, on a clear day, you can see Birnam Wood, to the Northwest. It was occupied long before Macbeth's time, (the 11th century) . There are stones with cup and ring marks.

My elder son is studying Macbeth for his Nat 5. I did it for O level, back in the day.
