I hadn't noticed the scene in front of me and as soon as one of them uttered the words "Dad, there's a dead rat in the car park." they regretted it.

A few minutes later all I got was "Can't believe you were crouching down to take a photo of a dead rat. You should have seen the looks you were getting."
