Remembrance

Today the best friend, Kate, of a lady I know relatively well on Twitter passed away. She was (finally!) pregnant with twins after many attempts, but complications occurred and she was placed into a coma a couple of days ago. Today she didn't wake up, and neither did her babies.

I can't even begin to imagine what her family and dear friends are going through. Just a few weeks ago Kate was laughing and sharing pictures of her best friend's wedding, a friend who has had her own share of hardship in the last couple of years.

This candle is not much, but the lights are lit for you, Kate, to guide you to wherever you are now, and to remind us all to be there for those you have left behind.

May you rest in peace always.
