Diving in

This morning a trip out bird watching in search of a White billed diver a new bird for me and as you can see I got to see it.You don't normally get theses around here especially in land as they live mostly seen on the sea. It was a lovely sunny morning but the sun was a bit to bright and most of my shots didn't turn out very good. This is the best a few others can be seen HERE. This is the 2nd time one has turned up in the area the other one was 21 years ago but I was working in the morning and was sue to go see it in the afternoon. Sadly it ended up getting caught up on a fisherman's line and ended up with the hook in its mouth and sadly died. Thankfully this one is very healthy and must be enjoying the stretch of water as its been around for 8 days now.
We had an enjoyable day seeing  a few other good birds a distant ring necked duck and distant Glaucous gull and then also a Great White egret  again my shots of that didn't turn out any good which was a great shame.
