Doomed?

This pretty begonia (er, cyclamen - see Paola's comment) arrived this evening from my lovely home group leader and his wife. They both have wonderfully green fingers, their garden is amazing and pot plants thrive and are revived under their tender loving care.

The last begonia I was given went mouldy in no time. (As it's a cyclamen, maybe it stands some chance).

Any tips on how a pot plant killing may be prevented this time, please?!!
