Never ask your dear colleagues for suggestions on where you should go!

Ignoring those suggestions I headed off in a different direction with the same sense of adventure that Columbus, Cook and Livingston probably felt as they embarked on voyages into the great unknown.

Once I got to the intended trail it was nice enough but had to go along busy roads at the beginning and end which wasn't particularly pleasant.

Never mind nothing ventured, nothing gained or as Columbus so famously put it, "If ye dinnae buy a raffle ticket ye cannae win the prize!"
