Oh deer!

Managed a short, slow walk around the Common with MrM and Louie late this morning. Two roe deer were grazing in the woods, quite a distance away - they were very well camouflaged, apart from their white rumps! Also spotted a red squirrel leaping around in the tree tops.

Felt really 'down' this morning, for the first time PA. Sinking in that recovery is taking longer than I imagined it would. The bruises are fading, but I'm functioning on maximum dose high-strength painkillers - and sometimes it's not comfortable to sit, stand or lie down for any length of time. And concentration has gone awol, taking with it the motivation to do anything at all...
OK, I know things will improve with time, but I'm not a very patient patient!

Feeling more positive by this evening! Need to coax the brain back in to gear, so there's now a list of small and achievable 'things to do' for tomorrow. There are some nice things on the list (including book tickets for the Hut People's concert) - I'm lucky to be alive, so better get out and start living again!
