The home of Roald Amundsen!

A new walk along the coastal path! A short, but interesting walk, where I passed by the home of Roald Amundsen, who was a Norwegian explorer of polar regions. He was the first to reach the South Pole, in 1911. He is also known as having the first expedition to traverse the Northwest Passage.
This house was build in 1898 and he bought in in 1908 and lived here until he disappeard i 1928. The house is kept as he left it and is now open for visitors during summer.
A part of the coastal path, starting from his house, is made by three nepaleese sherpas, with stones from the area ( see the extra)
Had a nice visit of Aslaug! Always a lot to talk about!
