Wanderings & Witterings

Squelch

A morning appointment in Stirling left the rest of the day relatively free, so I took a bus from Stirling bus station up to Aberfoyle. Unfortunately, the steady drizzle became a steady downpour and by the time the bus reached Aberfoyle it was really quite wet and miserable.

An intended walk along the riverside path (see photo) was abandoned and, after taking a few photos of the 18th century bridge, the overflowing River Forth and the cloud-covered Craigmore, I retreated to the Scottish Wool Centre for lunch and a chance to dry off.

The rain eased off a little, allowing time for a short reprise of my earlier walk before catching the bus back to Stirling and then home.
