Snow Squall

After a day of exploring the Susquehanna State Park and Conowingo Dam with blipper WRPerry, we returned home to a brief snow squall, so I was able to capture this colorful fellow riding it out in the Dogwood tree.

We were very late in the season going up to the dam, but it turned out to be our only opportunity so we decided to make the best of it.  We only saw two Bald Eagles, neither of whom presented themselves to be photographed properly.   We had the opportunity to practice shooting birds in flight: seagulls, cormorants, and blue herons, but when I looked at my shots on the computer, it turns out I could still use some more practice. Perched in trees is still more my speed. :-)
