Short-toed Snake Eagle

Fabulous morning birding, with a 'lifer' appearing, circling over me- this is a Short-toed Snake Eagle! I was actually photographing a Lark when this big raptor appeared at first I thought it was a Palid Harrier, but then realised with its almost 'owl' like yellow eyes that it was a Snake Eagle. Sadly it didn't stay around long and I never saw it dive down for its favourite prey-snakes! Perhaps I will go back tomorrow to the dunes of Seeb and see if this magnificent bird returns. The extra is that 'owl' look.
