Sand, sea, rocks

Plettenberg Bay has several beaches, each different and beautiful in its own way. Our favourite is Keurboomstrand – long stretches of golden sand and waves splashing against amazing rocks. This is fynbos area, where vegetation with its myriad of different species reaches down to the sea. A great place to walk, or just sit and watch the sea. (A bit like Northern Scotland, with slightly more reliable weather!)

And then what better, after a walk along the beach, than to return and lunch at Enrico’s, one of the best restaurants in the area (see extra). Sitting in the sunshine, overlooking the beach, watching the waves roll in and being served the most delicious freshly caught and cooked seafood. And people wonder why we come here!!

We reluctantly leave our apartment in Plett tomorrow and make our back towards Cape Town. We are not going home yet though!
