A pheasant fellow!

This morning I went out with the birdwatching group. We went to the Coed Y Dinas nature reserve at Welshpool where we saw a number of different types of bird.

We then went to Powys Castle grounds to do a bit more birdwatching. This handsome pheasant was pecking around on a log pile, the animal in the background is a deer.

We spent some time in the cafe at the castle where we enjoyed a good chat before walking around their beautiful gardens (we thought that we'd make the most of a sunny day).
