yoga nidra

Since D retired, he has been doing yoga to help with back pain and to increase his flexibility - an hour every morning, and he has started going to classes as well. In the evenings, I join him in doing  guided relaxation, listening to a tape for half an hour.  Yoga nidra ("yoga sleep") is deep relaxation but remaining fully awake and conscious. Apparently it can reduce tension and anxiety.

I took this photo after we had finished and I had switched the lights back on. As you can see, D and Jess were still pretty chilled :-)
