Putting from the rough

After our family dinner we walked down to the lake past the 5th hole at the golf course.

Mark saw a few golf balls popping up on the mudflats in the shallows. The water has subsided a lot due to the recent intense heat. Last night though it started to drizzle and was cool for a summer evening. Mark walked into the mud to collect the balls which sat like water lily blossoms dotting the surface. Bruce followed him in and ended up with mud caked on all four legs. Nicole joined in too after a few moments.

Turns out a lot of golfers don't like putting from the rough and getting their hands (or feet) dirty. Between them, Mark and Nicole collected at least 200 golf balls.
