Better Times

I went to Syria on business several times in the 90's. I enjoyed wandering the streets of Damascus, and took a side trip to Palmyra to see the ancient city -- which ISIS has been trying to obliterate. Everywhere I went the people were happy and friendly -- see this blip. Many proudly told me about family members living in the USA.
