Alarm

Out on the morning walk between Sontheim and Attenhausen when the voluntary fire brigade alarms sounded in both villages and then in several villages in the area.

First to go past us were the Attenhausen machine (top left), then a minute later the ambulance from Ottobeuren followed another minute later by the Ottobeuren ladder machine and and 3 minutes later, I think another Ottobeuren truck. These were just the ones that took the short cut, I did see other vehicles further away on the main road.

Luckily it was not as serious as it appeared - a house in Sontheim had started belching out smoke. Seems the owner had put hot ash in a dustbin in the cellar, gone out and when they returned it had taken on large dimensions. I don't think there was any fire damage.
