Spring Clean

A few years ago this scene would not have been possible. Car washing on a Sunday was banned. In general it is banned on private property or on the street. One has to use an approved car wash business.

In these liberal times, car washes in industrial areas, away from housing, can get a permit for Sundays. This "DIY" place was doing a roaring trade as was the large Shell station's automatic machine just a few meters away.

Our central heating turned itself off last night because it was only -4°C. It has to drop below -5°C before it starts. I suspect this is the first time it has taken a break this month.

Time to get the pool cleaned and ready for the season.
