2 goats, 2 men, 1 motorbike

Made our way to Bhopal today – yes, the place where they had that chemical leak which killed up to 200,000 at the latest count - lots of driving through very fertile and irrigated land.  First we had to descend from the hillside fort – the farm houses were made of wattle and plastered in mud, long and low with pottery tiles or corrugated iron held down by enormous stones.  On the major highway we passed more gypsy families with their huge flocks of sheep and goats.  Often the flocks were so large they were divided into two – at least 250 in each.  The camels were usually tended by the women who, if they were moving on, had loaded the charpoy beds, quilts, pots and pans, food, clothing and all onto the camels. They hate to be photographed… unless you give them a lot of money of course but it is hard to run into the road full of sheep or camels to give them some.  No wifi at Mandu last night but have back blipped along with my choices for hearts for Derelict Sunday – 69plus is taking over hosting next weekend so please tag your entries DS67

Wifi is stronger tonight so have been able to upload some of the picasa pics and back dated them to the relevant blip -31 Jan, 1st Feb and now this one if you'd like to see some more
