Nature's Brocade

A thin, fine filigree of ice decorating the deck this morning.  Treacherously beautiful.

In the extra:  We heard from Jackson's mother in Florida that she is planning on bringing him to Connecticut this weekend for a surprise visit with us.  He has never seen snow before, and he has had a long-held dream to throw snowballs at his grandparents!  We had a snowfall a couple of days ago -- just 3" or so, and now most of it is melting away, so I scurried outside earlier today, and filled some storage bags with "ammunition", which is currently being stored for him in his personal armory (aka our freezer!)
