Muskrat Love

Mother and baby approach each other, noses close to touching.  The baby is well within the concentric ripples from mother's body.  At top, the water of the pond is unaffected.
[Or maybe they're nutria?  They looked the size of muskrats to me.  Muskrats are not rats, though they are rodents.  They are the only members of their genus in North America.  Nutria are natives of South America but are now widely spread in U.S. waterways, where they commit terrorist acts against native plants and animals.  President Trump is expected to deport all of them back to South America.  They are also the only member of their genus in North America.
