MV Navigator

After a windy start to the day it fairly went flat late p.m.  This allowed us to repair (another) repair to the polytunnel.  Earlier CMC Snr treated us to lunch at Julia’s.  We deserved it because we had been at an all morning Friends of the Hoy Kirk meeting at Rebecca’s hoose.

In Julia’s I was on the ropes as my mother pronounced me to be Patron Saint of the Gleckit !!

As we were going in post tunnel repair this vessel glided past.  We stood transfixed as a small dinghy came over the side and a mannie rowed ashore.  We were floored when he asked us the way to Port Appin.

This evening I am making soup for the Boys tomorrow.  CMC will be away with her sister for a county-wide adventure.

Envoi:  It is heartening, almost enlightening, to note that Nan Shepherd is portrayed on the new Scottish £5 notes.
