...up to the hills from Wooler Common, in morning sunshine. Yes, walked around the Common with MrM and Louie yet again this morning, and late in the afternoon too. A lovely winter's day, and the air was filled with birdsong. Spotted a deer in the distance, and a Great Spotted Woodpecker - only the second time I've seen one on the Common.

An afternoon of lengthy and rather frustrating phone calls - the insurance claim for the car seemed to have ground to a halt, mainly due to the GAP insurance company, it transpired. And our courtesy car only lasts until Sunday. However, the young man at the insurance company was extremely helpful and, hopefully, things should be sorted out by the middle of next week. What a faff...
