I much enjoyed a recital this afternoon. Quintet of piano, violin, cello, clarinet and french horn. A rather nice way to spend an hour or so.

This morning, I listened as someone recounted an incident from their childhood. They had seriously upset their Granny and recalled her sitting in a chair, knitting, with her pinny* on, stating she was "black affronted"**. Some words there that I hadn't heard in a long time.

** black affronted - very embarrassed
