Migrant in Moscow

Vivid

Over the canal, over the art museum, over krimsky most, over gorky park, towards the university, and into the sunset.  Lovely vivid colours in cold and dry air this evening.  The boat standing in the ice is moored permanently; it was, at one stage, about a decade ago, a casino. It wasn't uncommon to have punters staggering out onto the dogs and their walkers on the embankment at 8 or 9 on any given morning.  The new mayor removed most of the moored boats (there were about a dozen along the River) as part of his gentrification plan for the city.  This one is now a compendium of boutiques and coffee shops and forms a complement to the renovated pedestrian zone along the embankment.
