Blue day

A bit of a sad day.

We tried to rescue three housemartin chicks at the weekend after their nest fell off our eaves. We fashioned an old ice cream tub as a makeshift nest (as recommended by the RSPB) and put in the remains of the nest and the chicks. Sadly the chicks didn't call and so the parents didn't return.
