Dinner in the Dark

Another Christmas present cashed in.

A voucher for a Dinner in the Dark in a restaurant next to the Schloss Nymphenburg in Munich.

Schlosswirtschaft Schwaige

An interesting experience. You eat in a room which has been completely blacked out. You guess what you're eating and drinking and chase it around the plate in the dark. The waiters use night vision glasses.

It is not easy and it is messy. From eating with blind friends and colleagues I had a bit of an idea of what to expect, but until you have to do it yourself you have no real idea.

One (of several) things I learned is how much of enjoying food is about seeing it.
