Surfin' Tragedy

Evening all,

I always feel a bit more at peace with the world when i've dragged my middle aged frame into the North Sea for a damn good swim or at least a bit of body boarding.

Today was the first day we had to do battle with the surf...fair to say, surf won!!

Tomorrow we move up the coast for our annual visit to "surfer John's balance on a greased ironing board clinic"

We've been annual attendees for the past few years and as always i suppose i shall be lumbered with the surfboard that is the distant relation to a supermarket trolley chasing a bag of magnets, and i suppose i shall also be forced to "tactically" fall off to make all the less competent(!) surfers look good.

Honestly i can do it, really i can.

Last year i stayed upright for nearly nine seconds before falling off, i didn't do as well once we got into the sea, but hey, little steps!
