Kitchen drawer surprise

We've all got one, a place to 'temporarily' put stuff that has an uncertain function and hasn't quite got a home yet... Three of the drawers in the kitchen seem to have been taken over by such stuff.

So I embarked on a sort out today.

This is what was left when the elastic bands, pens, drawing pins etc,. had been extracted.  

And I confess much of it has now gone back into the same drawers.
