Damsel and the Gallant Soldier

Judging by the tail spots this is a red damselfly. It was incredibly thin and ethereal. I didn’t see the detail until the shot was blown up on my computer screen.

The perch is the curious little four-petaled flower of the gallant soldier, (Galinsoga).
