Peraps you  say: "What has a philosophical non-fiction to do with today's image? In the book the 'classical' Narrator (Pirsig himself) has an older motorcycle which he is usually able to diagnose and repair himself through the use of rational problem-solving skills. Tape and alluminium from cans are part of this phenomenon. Looking at the picture you can make your own conclusion about my association ... ;-)
