Mandarin Duck

Bit of a lie in this morning after the Superbowl last night. Although none of us supported either team we decided to support the underdogs and go with the Falcons. For the first half it seemed like a good decision but in the end proved to be anything but. Fantastic game,but ultimately a bit disappointing. Still, the cake (see yesterday's blip) was rather good :-)

Took youngest son back this morning, then after lunch walked up to the University to pick up a prescription and then back through the grounds.

Took a few photos of seagulls, cormorants, various ducks and even a few architectural features (like gate posts). Then I came across this mandarin duck who hung around a while for me to photograph. They are just so colourful they seem out of place in a duck pond in the UK but they make a lovely subject for a photo.

Back to work tomorrow... unfortunately. Back to taking pictures of trees in my lunchtime.
