Everytime I pass by the Bruce Arms in Falkland I think I must go in to see if it's as nice inside as it looks from the outside.

It never seems to happen. When I was there this afternoon I'd already had lunch at home and then a scone at the farm shop, so there didn't seem to be much point.

Usually if I pass by it's mid morning on a Saturday. Same issue.

One day...

I stuck in Falkland Palace as an extra because on Saturday I got bogged down (for the umpteenth time) in trying to nail down how to translate Schloss into English. Castle or palace? To me Schloss Nymphenburg is obviously a palace, but...

Château throws up a similar dilemma sometimes.

So is Falkland a Schloss, a Residenz or a Palast. "Phone a friend" time.
