Mono Monday

Not in a blipping mood. By the time I looked at the theme for today's challenge it was dark, so this is the night-time view from my window.

There was a widespread power cut this morning just after I got up. The recorded message on the SSE phone-line said that they hoped we'd be back up and running by 12.30, but in the end the cut only lasted an hour. What I don't understand is why the timing of my off-peak heating is more than three hours out of sync.
