Bald Eagle in a New (old) Tree

This Bald Eagle was sitting in a different tree today; I liked looking closely at the tree he was sitting. It seems to have good nesting areas in those deep holes in the trunk?  There was a bit of sunlight in the area of the eagle, but the skies in the distance were very gray. I was freezing cold because of the wind chill and the eagle was teetering on that branch. I couldn't decide which eagle shot to use today....I think this one is better, but I liked the other because he was staring straight at me.
