Quiet day at the beach!

Nice and bright when we arrived at the beach....took out the camera and in came  the rain so, a hasty retreat to the car after a few quick pictures of the gulls.
This was at Bordeaux harbour a place we are quite fond of although, it is a very long way from home (by Guernsey standards) all of about 6km!
Spent part of the morning trying to track down some Rum because, when we went to Barbados some years ago, we bought a rum cake which was really delicious so, we thought we would make one.
Problem, no rum in the house so, off we went to get one but alas, only litre bottles, most of which we would have to bequeath to our grandchildren.
Amazingly it was really hard to find a smaller bottle so we had to go for the big one in the end.....lots left over for medicinal purposes!
It's not that we don't drink but we tend to stick to wine and beer mostly (+ the odd G&T, of course to ward off the mosquitoes)   8-)
Better find the recipe before the ingredients run out!!
