50,000 Starlings

50,000 Starlings have been seen at Watchtree Nature Reserve this month, but not tonight!

BBC's Countryfile featured the reserve on Sunday and they certainly filmed a great murmuration the evening the camera crew were here. Apparently the website was down afterwards due to so many people trying to log onto it. The phones were ringing throughout Monday!

Far in the distance we could see a large flock of birds but they just weren't going to beddy-byes in this copse tonight! They've probably gone back to Gretna where we went a couple of weeks ago.!
