Indigenous designs

These totems mark a sacred ground near us. They stand beside the Pacific Spirit trail under a small roofed structure. One male and one female. They have been carefully carved and painted to reflect the clothing, hair and adornment of the indigenous people of this area. I was looking for Jewellery for the WBC for this week. Here you can see the arm and wrist bands and the beads and quills that were braided in their hair for special ceremonies.
