Family

Evening all,

Family: a basic social unit consisting of Parents and their children, considered as a group, whether dwelling together or not.

We can't pick the family we're born into but we can choose the family we have around us.

Family are not necessarily blood related but those we gather round ourselves cause they are the ones we want closest. The ones who stand by us, through thick and thin, no matter what, without judging. The ones we turn to when things go wrong, the ones we want to celebrate with when things go right.

No matter what life throws your way your in it together.

I served in the Army and a closer family I could not have wanted for.

I have my family now, I have friends I count as family not as friends, they're closer and without question will stand beside me through thick'n'thin....through good and bad.

They say 'Blood is thicker than water'....a German Proverb meaning the bonds of family and common ancestry are stronger than those between unrelated people (such as friendship)............... not necessarily so, sometimes the bonds of friendship forged are stronger than any blood ties.

Family, be it blood, be it something different, are what you hold dear and close to you ;0)
