Waterfall near Millerground

A bitterly cold day - not one for sitting around for the right light to turn up for a photo. Headed out to Windermere today to check out the views from Brant Fell, Queen Adelaide's Hill and Orrest Head. Enjoyed the walks up Brant Fell and Orrest Head but drove to Queen Adelaide's Hill and just walked from the lay-by. Not a long walk but I forgot my gloves and seriously regretted doing so. The views from all three locations were excellent and the snow could be seen on the high fells in the distance. Unfortunately the rather grey day was not conducive to taking landscapes.

On returning to the car at Queen Adelaide's Hill I noticed a footpath down the the lake shore and decided to take a look. The path followed a small beck through some woodland. The beck was an almost continuous cascade from top to bottom and provided  a lovely photo opportunity which was quite unexpected.

After completing my wanderings I ended the afternoon with more mundane activities which included a supermarket shop and dropping in at the flooring shop to finalise the details of the new wooden floor.
