a bird day

We spent a few hours at Leighton Moss RSPB reserve. It was very cold so two trips to the cafe were needed, one for coffee then another for soup. 

Lots of birds today …….. that makes a change. In addition to ducks of many varieties, coots, cormorants and swans, we also saw great white and little egrets. 

I did take photos on the reserve but this shot of a robin in the car park was better. I think the other bird in the same tree (seen in extras) is a juvenile robin but am happy to be corrected.
