Lawrence....

Today I was visiting some friends from Scotland who are staying at Gossner Mission in Lusaka!  While there, I met Lawrence who is a well renowned Zambian artist.  He had painted a sign to beware of the tortoises which are resident at the mission (its behind him).  However, as we chatted, I learned that he has had various shows all over the world and is so delighted because he has just sold the piece which he is holding up - at least that is a photo of the piece which is 4 metres tall!  Its an interesting piece  called 'possibility to create in hell'!  

And while we had sunshine all day, I heard from friends in Malawi that Lilongwe has had severe flooding today.....and many people have had to be rescued from their homes!
